In the time of a year

In the time of a year

poetry

In the time of a year
to reach a turn of the road,
change the orientation of the step, rhythm, sound,
that becomes ovate in the tall grass,
welcomed and supported by the soft land,
and receive the impulse to jump.
A graceful leap, lifted by silk wings
and vortices of origami,
in a white linen dress with wide sleeves
to welcome bees and flowers
and become dripping hernia honey.

In the time of a year
to find the branch from which to swing
in the lazy summer days
and cradle in me
the work of words.
